Seventy people join eco-construction walk
Seventy people joined the second tour of environmentally friendly buildings in Dartington on March 21st.

The walk began at Paul Macdonalds strawbale sawmill (above) and then moved on to Richard and Heidi Orrells house in Droridge (below) where Richard explained his array and solar thermal and photovoltaic panels as well as his use of woodburning stoves.

After a short walk to Staple Hill participants enjoyed a light lunch courtesy of Ivana Barclay while husband Paul showed groups round their thatched cob cottage and the event ended back in Droridge with a look at the ground source heat pump installed by Gerald and Lucia Cox.
"An inspiring and informative day" was the general response....and the sun shone all day just as we promised!
