Aims & Objectives

We will explore the energy aspect of the Totnes Energy Descent Pathway. This will be a timetabled plan for weaning Totnes off oil over a 20 year period. We see our task as two fold:

1) To reduce the amount of energy we use.

2) To generate as much as our energy as possible locally using renewable technology.

Our specific objectives for the next 1-2 years are:

1. Help create the energy section of the EDP
2. Begin creating some of the obvious renewable energy technology infrastructure
3. Encourage people, businesses, and organisations to engage with reducing the energy use in their lives, and do what they can now.

We are also building a set of resources that we hope will be of use to people who are interested in renewable energy generation or energy (carbon) reduction If you have anything to add to this section please do let us know.
