Transition Planting Weekend

Tree planting weekend - volunteers needed!
Higher Druid is 22 beautiful acres of land above Ashburton consisting of 7 acres of mature mainly beech wood, 10 acres being planted to new native woodland under the Forestry Commission Woodland Creation Grant Scheme and 3 smaller fields that will be planted with a mixture of coppice and standard and woody shrubs for the future harvest of timber, fuel and non-timber forest products.

Informal discussion of the problems of reconfiguring the National Grid for micro-generation and of energy storage. Don Lang suggested compressed air as the cheapest way to store energy and talked of his plans for the Economics and Livelyhood section of TTT mobilising cash from investment and labour through a 'time bank'
